I think the Balloons over Waikato is an important event to hold because it adds lots of colour to the sky and cheers everyone up. It also brings lots of people to Hamilton from around NZ and overseas.
One of the benefits to the city and its people is that by bringing more people to the city, they spend money on food, staying in motels which help the local businesses

ReplyDeleteThe balloons sure do brighten up our skies for the weeks leading up to, during and after the festival.
They also bring a lot of travellers and balloons fliers from across the globe. This in turn contributes to our local businesses.
Have you noticed more people in the city because of the festival? Did you go to the Night Glow?
