In room 15 we made a graph about everyone's favourite snack food. This is a pie graph. We found we could change the type of graph just by moving the squares around. We had different colours for each different category. Green was fruits and veges, purple was drinks, pink was sweets and desserts and blue was other. The most common food was fruits and veges and the least common was other.

Swimming
Here is everyone at swimming sports. They had to wait for the clappers to go and then swim as fast as they could to the finish. I was sick on the day but I wish I was there.

Blogging Reflection
- If I could tell a class who wanted to join quadblogging I would say that quadblogging is really interesting because you get to comment on someone else's learning. Not only that but you also get lots of feedback on your learning.
- I think a good comment is to start a conversation by asking lots of questions.
- My favourite part of blogging is getting to share my learning with others.
- Blogging helps with my learning because when I receive comments I get lots of feedback.
- If I could make any changes to quadblogging I would probably make it that you comment on all the blogs instead of just one blog a week so you get comments on your blog every week.

Vinegar+Baking Soda Experiments
On Thursday the 14th of November room 12 did some cool experiments with Mrs Demchy. First we got a glass bottle and filled it up with vinegar. Then we filled a balloon with baking soda and carefully put it on the bottle. Mrs D shook the bottle and all the carbon dioxide created blew up the balloon. For the second experiment we got two plastic bags. we filled one up with vinegar an another with baking soda. in the second bag where we put the baking soda we cut a hole in the corner so the baking soda could escape. We shook the bag and after a while the bag popped and squirted all over everyone! For the third experiment We got Mr Peachy to nail a few holes in the cap of a bottle. Next we filled a bottle 3/4 full with vinegar and a bag full of baking soda. We dropped the bag in the bottle and screwed the cap on. Mrs D shook it and it squirted all over us.

100 word challenge (Gumboots)
Beep beep. I
can never get that noise out of my head. It’s the sound of my alarm at 3:30
every morning! It’s the holidays and dad loves to get fishing by 4:30am every
morning. One day dad woke me up at 2:00 am! We were on the boat by 3:00am. “I hear
there are some pretty big snapper today.” Dad said. I threw out my line and
immediately I felt something tugging anxiously. I pulled and pulled. Suddenly I
fell in! Splash! Dad tugged me out. I was drenched from head to toe. I will
never forget that day.

The hundred word challenge
The last thing I remember was seeing
the thrashing tornado whizzing towards me. I shrieked as it hit .Then all went
black. I woke up in hospital a few days later. I sat up as Mum popped a piece
of chocolate in my mouth. I looked around and saw my baby cousin with a sheet
over her head. Tears sprung to my eyes as I realized I wasn’t the only one
affected by the storm. The tears rolled down my cheeks. I asked where Dad was
but suddenly I didn’t want to know any more. The violent storm was tragic.

Project Energise
In the past few weeks Project Energize have been coming to room 12 to teach us about healthy eating . Did you know that there are about 9 teaspoons of fat in the KFC quarter pack? Shocking! But there is only 1/4 of a teaspoon of fat in subway! How is that fair?

Our sumatran tiger project
For home learning over the holidays we had to research facts about Sumatran tigers. I finished mine before the holidays even started! We also had to create a name, gender and background story for our new class mascot. We decided it's name would be Lee-Lee. Did you know that the stripes on a Sumatran tiger are closer together then on any other subspecies of tiger. I enjoyed this project because it was fun to make a poster.

Wow Reflection
This term the school's topic has been waste to wow. On Thursday the 28th of June the school put on a fashion show. Each class had to buddy up with another class and create costumes. Also each class had a theme. Our theme was nature. We got to get into groups to create our costumes. I was in a group with Katie, Sam, Latrell, Isabella, Harry and Harrison. Our inspiration was fantails.I got to be the model. Our costume had to be able to last until Thursday night. On Thursday night just as I was about to go on stage my skirt broke! Luckily we made a belt so we just tightened it up. After the show we had to take our costumes off. Then we got to eat some American lollies. If I had a chance to do the waste to wow show again I would change the costume by using more interesting materials.
